On the afternoon of May 25, at the invitation of Professor Zhang Xuefeng, Dean of School of materials and environmental engineering, Ye Zhizhen, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and professor of the school of materials science and engineering of Zhejiang University, gave a vivid and wonderful report to our teachers and students. The Lecture was  on the third floor of the lecture hall, East Faculty of Wenyi campus. The lecture was about "the first generation of materials, the first generation of technology", which was the first  in a series of academician and expert lectures. The conference was presided by Xie Shuqin, Secretary of the Party committee of the college, attended by all graduate students and some teachers of the college. Moreover, 110 undergraduates watched the live.

Academician Ye Zhizhen has studied in the research of inorganic optoelectronic materials and key technologies for a long time, and investigated in the field of semiconductor optoelectronic thin films for more than 30 years. He is the main leader in the field of International Optoelectronic zinc oxide. His innovative achievements solve a series of important scientific problems for the development of the next generation of optoelectronic industry. The report was divided into four parts. Firstly, the lecture introduces the academic background of the first generation semiconductor material technology; Then it ****yzes the advantages and application status of the wide band gap semiconductor, and prospects the application of the wide band gap semiconductor in 5g technology field. Finally, academician Ye explains how to improve the light-emitting efficiency of the new photoelectric material perovskite and innovate the theory and key of semiconductor doping.

Before the Leture, academician Ye Zhizhen visited the laboratory of the college for guidance.
